Feeling festive?

I absolutely adore Christmas romance. My favorite is Hallmark-style stories, but with some steam. Small towns, festivals, all the traditions and schmoopy goodness—gimme more!

I currently have four Christmas books available:

  • 24 Dares of Christmas
  • Mistletoe Kisses
  • Christmas Wishes
  • Here Comes Santa Paws (available Nov. 22, 2024!)

Each of these are low-angst, small-town standalone MM romances.

Interested in learning more? Read more below about the tropes in each book and how several of them are connected.

You can also see all my books by chronological order in the Dahlia Springs universe.

24 Dares of Christmas

This story is about Reed and Warren. Before Reed moves to Seattle for a new job, he agrees to dogsit his aunt’s spoiled pooches while she goes on the trip of a lifetime with his parents.

Reed discovers that his aunt has left him an advent of 24 festive dares to complete as a nod to a tradition they had while he was a kid. He’s got no interest in getting into the holiday spirit, but his aunt’s adorable tenant, Warren, is basically a Christmas elf personified. Warren insists on helping Reed complete the dares, and all the time they’re spending together awakens some new feelings in Reed.

This is all set to the backdrop of a Christmas festival that would be at home in a Hallmark movie.

Tropes:

  • Bisexual awakening
  • Christmas festival

Dare Me Christmas Duo

This duology is two standalone romances about best friends Arlo and Keaton unexpectedly finding love (with others, not each other!) at Christmas.

Arlo and Keaton are also roomies and coworkers, and got laid off right after Thanksgiving. During a night of drunken commiseration, they decide to use part of their severance packages to send each other on a holiday vacation with a dare to complete.

Both books are set during the same time period and can be read in any order since they each contain a standalone and complete romance.

This duology is set one year after 24 Dares of Christmas.

Mistletoe Kisses

Arlo’s best friend sends him on a surprise trip to Dahlia Springs, Oregon with a dare to finally meet his bio dad’s family—who has no idea he exists. On his first night in town, a terrible mishap with hot sauce leads to his server-in-shining armor, Lucas (Warren’s brother from 24 Dares of Christmas!) comes to his rescue. Anxious on a normal day, Arlo feels like a mess with the stress of wanting to meet his family. He turns to Lucas, who ends up being a major source of support, and possibly a lot more.

Tropes:

  • Vacation romance
  • Opposites attract
  • Forced proximity
Christmas Wishes

Keaton’s best friend sends him on a surprise trip to Arizona with a dare to finally start his beauty influencer social media accounts. He loathes midwest winters, and he’s ready to spend a week in the mild December weather. Except he ends up in a part of Arizona where it snows?! Wholly unprepared for anything cooler than light jacket weather, Keaton has to make due with a raggedy jacket from a small-town second-hand store. The budget is tight—he’d just gotten laid off, after all. When the jacket leads to an awkward meeting with the hottest guy he’s seen in ages—who turns out to be his Airbnb host—he’s thinking this trip might not be a bust after all. Who doesn’t like a little vacation romance? Except that fling has him starting to think about forever.

Tropes:

  • Vacation romance
  • Opposites attract
  • Forced proximity

Here Comes Santa Paws

Elias runs the Christmas Falls animal shelter and is preparing for the busy adoption season during the town’s Christmas festival. A massive leak at the shelter throws his plans into disarray. Unexpectedly, his grumpy, Scrooge of a neighbor comes to his aid.

This book is set in the amazing Christmas Falls shared world. Christmas Falls: Season 2 revisits a small town that thrives on enough holiday charm to rival any Hallmark movie. It’s a multi-author M/M romance series.

Tropes:

  • Grumpy/sunshine
  • Pets! So many pets
  • Christmas festival
